Holiday Greetings!

I have normally written in finnish but since I have friends abroads also, I thought why not to write holiday greetings in english this time. So here you go!

Since I got back from Crete, last Sunday, I have been suffering from the illness of my life I think. I mean, s*it f*ck (/#!%#¤¤! it hurts!!! But it feels like, that MMMAYBE today I have finally spotted this tiny glimpse of light at the end of the tunnel so I'm really hoping that the medication is finally starting to help. A bit, at least. Step by step... The most annoying part just is, that I haven't been able to eat nor drink much of anything since I got home from Crete. Just liquids, natural youghurt and ice cubes to help to calm down the burning in my mouth and throat. Oh well, LUCKILY the icecream helps also so that too.

So at least two different types of infections means at least two different types of medications. Yay. Also, the spot on the I, I got some kind of skin infection on my face, so I look like a cute little toad! Haha. Yeah well, I have been popular in Crete among the bacteria-virus party but I'm going to achieve a great victory here! For some reason, my system is very sensitive to get this kind of s*it easily abroads, under the burning hot sunlight, warm water and lots of people. Oh well, that doesen't stop me from travelling, ever, 'cause I love travelling more than anything! I just have to start to get a tiny gulp of brandy every morning on my holidays like a fine old lady!

SO, back to Crete! AMAZING week I must say. Beautiful as always, the turqoise water under the bright blue sky and perfectly round hot sun was just paradise, once again. We did'nt get much sleep there 'cause, of course, went to partying almost every night after laying down a day under the sunlight. I'm still craving after Cosmopolitans and our blue drinks in the beautiful, warm, tender Cretan night. Food was also so delicious, once again. I just love Greek salad but its perfection comes out in its true taste only in Greek, I think. Our hotel wasn't the finest but funniest, truly. We had roosters walking around our hotel area so it felt like we lived that week in a chicken farm, haha!

One morning we went to Chania harbour to enjoy our breakfeast under the nice Cretan morning sun before going to the beach. It was really nice with all its fresh coffee and freshly pressed orangejuice. I must say that Crete feels like a whole different world. You can explore the island's history and old ruins or just sit under the stars at night time listening to the waves with someone you like and enjoy the romantic part of Crete. Maybe these are the qualities why I also choose to get back there after last summer. But, one of the nicest thing in travelling, I think, is to make new aquintances. Oh we did and had so much fun! Makes me think once again how important is to know languages. That is one of the biggest adventures in life and definitely a richness.

Our last day on the beach we decided to try this "sofa"-thing pulled behind the boat. Was so much fun and at high speed on the waves I felt myself like a bouncing popcorn! Haha. Also one day we had a sea trip to Balos and Gramvousa islands. Balos's blue lagoon was absolutely heavenly beautiful. The water was so bright, just like in a pool...wow! I still don't realize of some people who doesen't like to travel. They miss so much in life, I think. To see different coultures and landscapes, even a peek of it, grows you as a person and makes one's worldview larger. I hope that I'm going to see many many MANY different places in my life and experience lots of fun adventures with those who I love. Because that, my friends, that is called LIVING.
